Panagia Paraportiani

Church·Mykonos Town

Five chapels in one white sculpture

About Panagia Paraportiani

Paraportiani looks less like a church than a soft white sculpture: five chapels, four at ground level and one above, joined over the centuries into a single rounded form. It stands where the gate of the old castle once was, which gives it its name. Visit early in the morning, when the walls glow and the lanes are empty.
