Naxos Town (Chora)
Venetian castle, bustling harbour

About Naxos Town (Chora)
Naxos Town is a real town with a long seafront of cafés and tavernas and, above it, the Kastro, built by the Venetian dukes in the 13th century, where Catholic families still live behind coats of arms. Lanes of the Bourgos below are full of shops and little restaurants. It is the island’s hub, with the port, the bus station and the beach of Agios Georgios on its doorstep.
