Minoan Lines runs overnight ferries from Piraeus to Heraklion, and ANEK Lines sails overnight to Souda, the port of Chania; book a cabin and wake up on the island. In summer, fast boats link Heraklion with Santorini and other Cyclades. Crete is about 260 km long, so choose your port and airport according to where you are staying.
