About Getting around Aegina
Aegina is big enough to need transport. The island buses leave from near the harbour for Agia Marina via the Temple of Aphaia and Agios Nektarios, and for Perdika along the west coast. Taxis wait on the quay, and several rental offices in town hire cars, scooters and bicycles. Book ahead for summer weekends, check what the insurance covers and bring your licence; check whether yours needs an International Driving Permit. Scooters above 50 cc need a motorcycle licence, and helmets are compulsory.
